One of the possible designs I made for my blog TScheuneman.com. This actually got fully finished, from design all the way to WordPress integration. As you can see, the design is based off of cartoon-y desert look which I think looks quite nice. It incorporates the front slider which goes through the latest content and then there are the three content boxes below it which provide quick access to other areas such as comments and categories, not the best use of space in retrospect, but oh well. On the top “sky” blimps roam the skies and provide links to social media such as twitter and facebook as they fly across the screen (though they are off-screen in this screenshot, whoopsies). A nifty little bit of animation which gives the site a bit of movement and allows the user to interact with the site more as well.
